Bring It On: The Musical tells the story of the unexpected bonds that form through the challenges and thrills of extreme cheerleading competition. With a fresh sound and exploding dance, this colorful crew of characters and their hilarious story is sure to be everything you hoped for and nothing like you expected.
Campbell is considered cheer royalty at Truman High School and she is looking forward to an amazing senior year after being named captain of the cheer squad. However after an unexpected redistricting, she is forced to spend her last year of high school at Jackson High School, the neighboring hard-knock school. Despite the challenge, Campbell befriends the dance crew girls and works hard with their leader Danielle to form a powerhouse squad for the ultimate competition – The National Championship.
This musical was created by some of the funniest creative minds on Broadway. An original story written by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q). Music and lyrics by Tony Award winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), music by Pulitzer and Tony Award winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), and lyrics by Amanda Green (High Fidelity). The show was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2013.
Bring It On: The Musical is the original 2012 Broadway production, presented in two acts. It is rated PG-13 for adult themes and language.
Rehearsal and Performance Schedule
Rehearsals will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church and the Gezon Auditorium at Calvin College according to the following schedule:

Performances will be in the Gezon Auditorium at Calvin College. There will be two 7:00 evening shows on June 28 and 29. and one 1:00 afternoon show on June 29. Reserved seat tickets will be available for purchase online through stageGR.
